TIMBERLINE RACEWAY GENERAL RULES

·   These rules will govern all events at Timberline Raceway.

·   A copy of these rules and regulations are available to anyone on request.

·   Timberline Raceway club members, participants, guests, manufacturers    and race promoters must agree to comply with these rules and regulations.

·   These rules are intended as guidelines for conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury of any sort to participants, spectators or others.

·   No person attending any Timberline Raceway event will have any claim for damages, expenses or otherwise against the owner, promoter, track operator, it’s officials, agents or employees resulting from any damage to any car, personal injury or monetary loss of any kind whatsoever.  All attendants (racers, crew, guests or spectators) waive any claim they may have against Timberline Raceway owners, promoters, officials or employees when they participate in any event being run under these rules.  Racers are responsible that their guests and pit crew know and abide by these rules.

·   In case of inclement weather or undriveable track conditions or both, race entry fees will be refunded.

·   All drivers and pit crews are required to wear closed-toe shoes at all times.

·   All drivers are responsible for the actions of their pit crew and guests.

·   Never turn on your transmitters within ¼ mile of the track without first checking the frequency board or the track director to see who is operating on which frequencies.

·   Stadium trucks, monster trucks, arena trucks, eighth-scale buggies and sprint cars will practice using one (1) tank of fuel at a time so everyone is ensured their turn while having the same shared frequencies.

·   You should only be on the drivers stand if your vehicle is running.

·   Never drive your car in the parking/pit area.  If you want to tune your vehicle, do it on the track.  It is permissible to start your gas-powered R/C vehicle in the parking/pit area provided YOU DO NOT TURN ON YOUR TRANSMITTER.

·   If there is a frequency conflict in the mains, the higher qualified racer will have frequency preference.

·   All vehicles must cross the finish line under their own power.

·   Only one (1) registered driver per car can compete.  Allowing someone else to qualify or run the main for you is absolutely unfair to the other racers.  We know this is just club racing, but this rule shall not be broken.  If it is, your results will not count for that race.

·   Using multiple cars in a given race day is acceptable.  The car that was used to start a qualifier or main is the car that must be used for the entire race.  You do have the option of repairing your car or borrowing one for the next race.  You cannot use more than one car in a single race.

·   Use of improper language will not be tolerated or permitted.

·   Rough driving or intentional hacking is cause for disqualification.

·   Unruly or unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.

·   Alcoholic beverages and/or illegal drugs are not permitted at Timberline Raceway events.

·   Race directors have the right to refuse any entry.

·   A first-aid kit will be available at the scorers table.

·   A fire extinguisher will be located at the stairs of the drivers stand.

·   All gas vehicles must have a throttle return spring on the carburetor arm (not on the linkage).

·   All competitors shall be ready to race when called to the starting gate.  Anyone starting late must take their car to the starting gate before running the remainder of the race.

·   Individual racers are responsible for obtaining or owning a transponder for lap counting BEFORE each of their races and that the transponder stays with and connected to the vehicle for the entire race.  We will have a transponder check prior to warm-ups to ensure the functionality of transponders.

·   It is the drivers responsibility to turn marshal for the race immediately following their race.  The driver may designate a QUALIFIED substitute to take his or her place by notifying the race director.  FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF LAPS IN MAIN EVENT.

·   At the end of a race season, the winner of the Sportsman Class MUST move up to Expert for the next season. The second place finisher has the OPTION to move up to Expert.  In the Expert class, the last two finishers have the OPTION to move down to Sportsman.  Changing classes during a season will not be permitted.
